Ignition is committed to providing you with the highest level of customer service. This includes protecting your privacy. The purpose of this document is to provide information on how we collect, uses and discloses your personal information.

How we collect personal information

We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:

• From registered list providers (ADMA code compliant)
• Directly from you, when you provide information by phone or in writing, or when you submit your personal details to us through our websites
• From third parties such as our related companies, credit reporting agencies or your representatives
• From publicly available sources of information
• From our own records of how you use our products and services
• When legally required to do so.

How we use your personal information

Your personal information may be used in order to:

• Provide the services you require;
• Administer and manage those services, including charging, billing and collecting debts;
• Inform you of the ways the services provided to you could be improved;
• Conduct appropriate checks for credit-worthiness;
• Research and develop our services; and
• Gain an understanding of your information and communication needs in order for us to provide you with a better service

When we disclose your personal information

In order to deliver the products and services you require, we may disclose your personal information to organisations outside Ignition. These organisations include:

• Outsourced service providers
• Your representatives (eg: your authorized representatives or legal advisers);
• Credit providers for credit related purposes such as credit-worthiness, credit rating, credit provision and financing;
• Our professional advisers, including our accountants, auditors and lawyers; and
• Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law.

Ignition takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the accuracy of the information we hold depends to large extent on the information you provide. That's why we recommend that you:

The following outlines the terms and conditions of use ("Terms") for the IRiS (“Ignition Data Ltd”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) website (“Site”). We may vary these Terms at any time. Using the Site after the Terms have changed means you accept the changed Terms. If you agree to be bound by these Terms you may use the Site, otherwise you should not.

The current version of the Terms will be maintained on the Site. This Site is operated and controlled from our offices in Australia and/or New Zealand. If you use this Site from outside Australia or New Zealand, you are responsible for complying with any applicable laws. These Terms will be interpreted in accordance with, and governed by, the laws of New Zealand.

We permit the creation of links from other websites to the homepage https://iris-automation.ai. For express consent to link directly to any other part of this Site please contact us via the form at the bottom of this page. Maintenance of any such links remains your responsibility.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copyright and trademark rights) in all materials displayed or available on this Site belongs to IRiS unless otherwise stated. IRiS Software License Agreement

For the purposes of this Schedule, “IRiS” refers to the IRiS software product and associated generation engine components owned by Ignition Data Limited (“Ignition”).

1. Product Overview

IRiS is metadata-driven automation software designed to accelerate the implementation of structured analytical data platforms by standardising modelling inputs, enforcing engineering guardrails, and generating deployable artefacts for modern cloud data environments. IRiS is intended for use by data engineering teams, data platform delivery teams, and implementation partners responsible for building governed analytical data structures using standardised modelling methodologies.

IRiS operates within customer-controlled infrastructure and generates deployment artefacts based on customer-provided metadata definitions. It does not directly process enterprise transactional datasets as part of its core operation; rather, it produces executable deployment artefacts that are subsequently executed within customer-managed target data platforms.

IRiS supports deployment into customer-hosted or cloud-hosted virtual machine environments and may be provisioned through cloud marketplace offerings or directly installed within customer managed environments. Generated artefacts are designed for execution within supported analytical database platforms including modern cloud Lakehouse and warehouse technologies.

2. Functional Scope

IRiS provides controlled automation capabilities for the design-to-deployment lifecycle of structured analytical data platform components. It standardises the capture of modelling metadata, validates structural definitions against predefined engineering guardrails, and automatically generates target platform-specific deployment artefacts aligned to the supplied structural definitions.

IRiS supports repeatable engineering practices by ensuring consistent naming conventions, metadata completeness validation, and controlled generation of platform-specific database structures. IRiS is designed to integrate with existing development, governance, orchestration, and source-control toolchains, enabling generated artefacts to be incorporated into established enterprise delivery 
pipelines.

3. Supported Structural Model Generation

Based on defined modelling metadata inputs, IRiS supports the generation of structured analytical data platform components, including but not limited to:

• Hub tables representing core business entities. 
• Link tables representing relationships between entities. 
• Satellite tables representing descriptive attributes associated with entities or relationships. 
• Multi-active satellite structures supporting concurrent attribute instances.
• Dependent child satellite structures supporting subordinate entity attributes.
• Satellite splitting configurations where modelling standards require structural separation. 
• Source-aligned operational or structural views where configured. 

The structural components generated by IRiS are derived directly from supplied metadata definitions and modelling inputs and are produced in accordance with defined structural modelling conventions embedded within IRiS’ validation guardrails.

4. Inputs to the Product

IRiS operates using structured metadata inputs supplied by the implementing organisation. Typical required inputs include:

• Source system structural metadata describing schemas, tables, columns, and data types.
• Target structural modelling metadata defining required structural objects and modelling rules.
• Source-to-target mapping definitions identifying one-to-one structural relationships between source and target attributes.
• Optional lineage, configuration, or environment metadata supporting deployment and governance integration.

These metadata inputs are validated by IRiS prior to generation of deployment artefacts to ensure structural completeness and adherence to modelling rules.

5. Outputs Produced (Deployment Artefacts)

Based on validated metadata inputs, IRiS generates deployment artefacts suitable for execution within supported analytical database platforms. Generated artefacts may include: 

• Target-platform Data Definition Language (DDL) scripts used to create tables, views, and related structural database objects.
• Target-platform Data Manipulation Language (DML) logic used to support structural loading, ingestion, and population procedures associated with the generated structures. 

• Supporting operational artefacts, configuration components, or wrapper procedures required to support execution, orchestration, or lineage enablement within the target environment.

The nature and composition of generated deployment artefacts are determined by the modelling metadata supplied at the time of generation.

6. System-Generated Technical Metadata Attributes and Processing Logic

As part of the automated generation of deployment artefacts, IRiS produces system-generated technical metadata attributes and associated processing logic required to support governed analytical data platform operation. Such attributes and logic may include, but are not limited to:

• Deterministic hash-based technical keys used to uniquely identify entity and relationship records.
• Hash-based change-detection attributes used to identify attribute-level changes within descriptive structures.
• System-generated load processing timestamps capturing ingestion or structural processing time.
• Record source or lineage-identification attributes capturing originating ingestion or source system context.
• System-generated default, placeholder, or structural “ghost record” creation logic, including automatically generated procedures and wrapper execution logic used to initialise structural components and ensure referential and structural completeness during loading operations.
• Incremental, insert-based loading logic used to manage time-variant record insertion and structural history preservation within generated ingestion procedures.
• Stage, load, and target-layer processing structures supporting repeatable ingestion workflows.
• Supporting wrapper procedures, execution utilities, and ingestion orchestration logic required to initialise, populate, and maintain generated structural components.

Such technical attributes and processing logic are generated automatically by IRiS where applicable based on modelling configuration. Generated ingestion logic is designed to support insert-based historical loading patterns consistent with time-variant analytical data platform structures.

7. Deployment Architecture

IRiS may be deployed within customer-hosted or cloud-hosted virtual machine environments under the control of the customer organisation. IRiS may also be provisioned via supported cloud marketplace deployment models where available. In all deployment scenarios, IRiS operates within infrastructure controlled by the customer, and generated deployment artefacts are executed within supported downstream analytical data platforms selected by the customer.

8. Operational Boundaries

The IRiS product generates deployment artefacts based on Inputs to the Product but does not independently design modelling structures without supplied definitions. IRiS produces executable artefacts that are subsequently deployed and orchestrated using customer-selected execution and scheduling mechanisms. IRiS does not directly execute enterprise transformation pipelines beyond generation of the required deployment artefacts. IRiS does not perform business-rule-based transformation processing beyond structural loading and ingestion logic generated from supplied metadata definitions.

9. Licensing Model

IRiS is owned by Ignition and licensed on a per-user (per-seat) basis. Each licensed user is provisioned with an individual IRiS instance associated with that user’s licensed seat. Licences are assigned to named users and are not shared across multiple users. IRiS instances are provisioned separately for each user and operate independently unless otherwise explicitly configured with Ignition’s written consent.

10. Intended Use, Usage Restrictions, and Ownership of Generated Artefacts

RiS is intended for use as a development and generation tool to produce deployment artefacts for implementation within defined analytical data platform environments. The permitted use, ownership, and restrictions relating to generated artefacts differ depending on whether IRiS is used directly by an end-user organisation (“Customer”) or through a service provider authorised by Ignition (“Service Provider”).

11. Customers

A Customer is licensed by Ignition to use IRiS to generate deployment artefacts for implementation within its own internal data platform environments.

11.1. Permitted Use

Generated deployment artefacts may be used, executed, and maintained within the Customer’s internal environments to support its analytical data platform operations. A Customer is licensed to use generated artefacts across environments within its organisation, provided such use remains internal.

11.2. Ownership

Generated deployment artefacts created by a Customer may be used on a perpetual licensed basis within its organisation. Such artefacts form part of the Customer’s implemented data platform environment.

11.3. Restrictions

The Customer must not:

• Redistribute, sublicense, or make generated artefacts available to third parties outside its organisation.
• Package or commercialise generated artefacts as standalone software, accelerators, or reusable products.

• Use generated artefacts to provide services to third parties in a manner that replicates or substitutes the functionality of IRiS.

11.4. Post-License Use 
Upon expiry or termination of an IRiS licence, the Customer is licensed to continue executing and operating previously generated deployment artefacts within its environment. However, no further generation, regeneration, or extension of such artefacts using IRiS is permitted without an active IRiS licence.

12. Service Providers

A Service Provider licensed by Ignition to use IRiS solely for the purpose of generating deployment artefacts as part of delivering implementation services to a Customer.

12.1. Permitted Use

Generated deployment artefacts may be delivered to, and used by, the Customer as part of a defined implementation engagement. Such artefacts must be aligned to the specific Customer’s metadata inputs, requirements, and target environment.

12.2. Ownership

Where deployment artefacts are generated by a Service Provider for a Customer, the Customer is licensed by Ignition to use such artefacts within its own environment. The Service Provider does not have the right to reuse such artefacts beyond the specific customer engagement for which they were created.

12.3. Restrictions

The Service Provider must not:

• Reuse generated artefacts, in whole or in part, across multiple customers or engagements.
• Create reusable frameworks, accelerators, templates, or products derived from IRiS generated artefacts for broader commercial use.
• Package, sublicense, or commercialise generated artefacts independently of a specific customer implementation.
• Use IRiS-generated artefacts to build or offer a competing product, platform, or service.

12.4. Post-License Use

The Service Provider may not generate new deployment artefacts without an active IRiS licence. Following completion of a customer engagement or on expiry of a licence, the Service Provider may not retain, reuse, or repurpose generated artefacts for other Customers or its own commercial purposes.

GENERAL TERMS OF USE

Ignition Data Limited (Ignition) has developed the IRiS Data Vault Automation Tool (the Software), details of which are in the IRiS Product Description above (the Product Description).

Ignition grants to the Customer (the Customer) who has subscribed to IRiS, a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence (the Licence) to access and use the Software in the manner specified in Product Description on the following terms (Terms).

1. Term and termination: The term of the Licence is defined with the IRiS Subscription. However, Ignition may (without prejudice to any other remedy) terminate the Licence and the Customer’s use of the Software on giving the Customer written notice if the 
Customer becomes insolvent or breaches these Terms.

2. Fees: The Customer will pay Ignition the fees specified with the subscription (Fees).

3. Use of Software: The terms of use of the Software are set out in the Product Description. The Customer is responsible for its use of the Software and for maintaining the security of passwords and access to the Software. The Customer must ensure that the Software is not used for any illegal or malicious purpose.

4. Limited liability: The Software is made available on an "as is” basis and at the Customer’s own risk. Ignition gives no other warranty about the Software and all warranties implied by law are excluded. Ignition is not liable to the Customer or any Customer for loss or damage caused:

1. to any network or connection used by the Customer; or
2. by the failure of third party software to integrate with the Software;
3. by Ignition’s enforcement of these Terms or termination of the Licence.

Ignition will never be liable for consequential loss or damage arising from use of the Software. Ignition’s liability for direct loss or damage under these Terms is limited to the Fees paid in the month prior to the incident giving rise to the loss or damage.

5. Confidential Information: All information relating to the Software disclosed to the Customer is confidential and is Ignition’s exclusive property. The Customer must keep all such information strictly confidential.

6. Intellectual property rights: All trade marks, copyright, patents and other intellectual property rights in the Software are Ignition’s exclusive property. The Customer must not:

1. remove or alter any copyright notices in the Software;
2. have any software developed based on Ignition’s intellectual property or confidential information; or
3. use Ignition’s brands or logos without Ignition’s prior written consent.

7. Notices: Ignition may give notice to the Customer by email or by ordinary post. An emailed notice will be deemed to be received on the date of transmission. A notice sent by post will be deemed to have been received three days after posting, Notices of a general nature may be posted on Ignition’s website.

8. Force Majeure: Ignition will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing any Services caused by an event beyond its control.

9. No assignment: The Customer may not, without Ignition’s prior written consent, assign the Licence or allow any other person to exercise any rights under the Licence. The Customer may not encumber any of its rights or obligations under the Licence.

10. Amendments: Ignition may amend these Terms, add new features and change the functionality of the Software. In order to continue using the Software, the Customer may be required to download the latest version.  Continued use of the Software will be 
deemed acceptance by the Customer of the amended Terms.

11. Governing Law: These Terms and the Licence will be governed by New Zealand law and the Customer submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
